Bov and Injen Clearance issues?

I got some hardpipes from a member on this forum...the only problem is the bov is welded in a odd position. He had a PERRIN sri on his car and i want to buy a Injen. I think there may be clearance issues however. Take a look and tell me what you think.

An injen will definitely not fit.

you can see my injen almost rubbing on my BPV hose. sorry.

the greddy should be placed along the area of the cold pipe that you see in the picture.

I wonder if i should go sri or try and patch the hole and get a shop to weld another?

it's possible to get a short ram too, since you said the PO had a Perrin. probably easier than patching it and rewelding a new one. beware of hot air fan blow back since it sits right in front of the fan.... i have heard of some issues with that. doesn't look like you have an aftermarket SMIC. get one. helps alot.

yeah i am working on it. I just ordered a Corksport exhaust today. So I wont be able to get a SMIC anytime soon. Do you think its better to leave as is till i get new SMIC or just get perrin or other sri now?

Don't go SRI in Texas, believe me there is a huge differance. I started with the Perrin SRI and switch to the Injen CAI due to the constant bogging. At the time I also had exhaust and FMIC. The temperature differance between the Perrin SRI and the INjen CAI is over 40 degrees in the same weather conditions (I tested my SRI vs JDM Sams stock and Chckmagnt's Injen before deciding to switch).

What you should do is get the injen, then cut your hardpipe. Put your MAF sensor in your hardpipe and relocate your BOV to a place where it fits. You could probably do this and only have to pay for new couplers and the cutting costs, no need weld a new hole and flange for you BOV, just cut that section of the pipe out and move it to a place where it fits.

This is prolly your best bet.

I could prolly order some turbohoses couplers and just hacksaw it very carefully. Move the cut peice up the pipe and use couplers on it....(see Attached)
