Anybody want to go to Commerce dragstrip on friday? I'm going w/ a buddy of mine and I'll be there at 5:30(i know it opens at 6:00). So lmk if anyone is going to come!

PS: I was hoping that the track will be preatty empty from all the (ricer) getting ready for dopi next day. Last time I went the lines were too long and only had the chance to do 4 runs(on the Prelude).

FIRST time running the 3, so hope I run somewhere in the 15s....

would love to come out and chill and see what my car is made of but its kinda on its last legs and i cant afford to break something else. gluck with that 15... ill bet its more around low 16's to possible high 15. have fun

i know, that is what i'm shooting for! (high 15s, 15.9999999999999999999999!) You should come out, i bet it will be really empty, and we could do alot of runs!

nah i have a charge pipe ben to the size of a toilet paper roll and 3 bent wheels. this baby isnt doing anything over 45 haha

so nobody else want to come out tonight?

Had I seen this earlier and not made plans to help a friend set up his MegaSquirt ECU, I may have joined you with the turbo Miata.

How'd it go?

It was great! Like I expected, not alot of cars, and from 6 to 11(w/ 30 min cooling down sessions) I squeezed in 14 runs! Couple of cars spilled oil, one or two car broke while staging, but overall it was run after run.

The bummer part is I was no where close to hitting high 15s. The best run I got in was a mid 16, and before sunset I ran a couple really low 17s(17.002).

The only goot thing was my r/t was really good, lowest ever of 0.023, and it stayed around 1s all night long.

It was alot of fun, and maybe I will go again next friday.

funny... well let me know which friday you are going up there, so i can go check it out. To answer your questions:

Schedule: Friday is the only Test & Tune (or open night)
Open from 6:00pm til latest i stayed there is 2:00am, but i heard they stay open a little later.

Thursday: Nope

Price: $20 to race, $10 to spectate(unless you are a kid)

PS: Personally their track conditions, and sea level isn't the best. I would prefer to go to silver dollar, but it's way too far away. Best time to run is after sunset, once everything cools down tremendously.
