hmm interesting. not sure on what to think yet. the top looks like a porsche though

From what I've read that BMW will be marketing a Z4 M Roadster/Coupe with the S54 333hp from the e46 M3.

i don't think "concept" is the correct word for this thing...it looks like it's all set for production. Nothing here looks too outrageous to be pulled off before putting it onto dealer lots....hmmm....

FRANKFURT Sales of BMW's Z4 have been anything but stellar and it's facing stiff competition in the roadster sector. So at the Frankfurt show, BMW has unveiled a coupe version of the sports car. Shown here in concept guise, the coupe will go into production next year.

BMW has accelerated the development of the Z4 coupe to compete with the new Porsche Cayman S, the coupe version of the Boxster, which is also being shown in Frankfurt.

Under the long, sleek hood of the Z4 coupe concept is BMW's new 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, rated at 265 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque. The car's top speed is 155 mph and reaches 60 mph from a standing start in 5.7 seconds. It is equipped with sophisticated suspension control systems, electric power steering and high-performance brakes.

The coupe will be built alongside the Z4 roadster at BMW's plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Frankfurt show also marked the first appearance of an X3 hybrid concept, the 3 Series wagon, an armored version of the 5 Series and the four-door 130i.

What this means to you: BMW hopes to bring back the Z magic and fight off the Porsche Cayman S challenger with a coupe version of the Z4.
