Sunday drive

Dang cell phone drivers.
My daughter and I were on the way home yesterday. When I noticed a large Lincoln Continental in my lane coming up fast in my rear view mirror. I was not quite stopped at the light so I gassed the car and tried to get in the left lane.
The guy nailed my corner and shovelled into the car in front of me. Looking at about $4600 on the first estimate. The Toyota in front of me no longer has a usable trunk (it was relocated to the rear passenger seat).
Nice way to end my weekend. It scared the crap out of my daughter but at least she wasn't hurt which is more than I can say for the Toyota driver.
The guy in the Lincoln was on his phone and not watching the road.

That damage is from a glancing blow. He mashed the rear end of the corolla in front of me. If I hadn't moved he would have totaled my car and shoved me into the Corolla. I don't like the thought of possible injury to my daughter so I'm glad I moved but I felt sorry for the lady in front of me.
It's a 50 MPH zone and I'm guessing he wasn't too far under by the time he got me and the Toyota

wow. glad to see you and your daughter is ok. and very nice restraint on your part. If I had a child and some asshole in a cell phone ran into me while my kid was in the car, I'd be in jail

Yes. I like that they look stock and perform better than the 16"s. Kinda heavy though.
