Screw mesh, just take the black stuff off...it will be un-noticable anyways, why throw in something that'll look awd, and you'll have to put it on both side, plus if the points to make air-flow, why slow the air down with mesh..just rip the black stuff out, and make cooler, free-er flowing Cold air

ok another question..

if i remove it ill get water when it rains (rain drops) that wont do any damage right?

ok i just found out a little problem.... the fog light is mounted on the black part so ill have to figure how to mount it without it

this is a little work, and you'd need a dremel, take off the black(or do it on the car), and dremel out the area where air could pass..but make sure you leave the structural part that mounts the fog light...that should work, and aloow air through..oh, and on the water issue, just raindrop won't affect anything, driving through a deep puddle will..but that can be counteracted with a bypass..but if you're in a puddle, having the back stuff there or not, it will get wet...you can get the AEM bypass if you have the AEM, if not, I'm sure you could use the AEM bypass...but no worries, just don't drive through puddles that are over a your hood and you'll be fine...and just splashing wont do anything, you need to have the intake submerged so it can suck the air in to acutally do damage..long story short, it'll be fine, dremel the black out or make a mounting bracket out of some metal or something

ok i just removed the bumper and im going to dremel trough the black part ..
after i remove it it will have enough surface to mout the light to the bumper..

some pics

1) no bumper (duh!)

2) front of the light with the area that i need to cut out marked..

3) back of the light

Good luck to me (crosses fingers)!!

If your airfilter is the reusable type, you are going to want to check it more often since it is directly exposed to the elements. You probably won't injest enough water during heavy rains to do any damage, but you will probably suck up enough road grime to make your filter nasty.

ok today i got to test it and it seems that at higher rpms im getting a lil more power .. or maybe is just my buttdyno..

and yes ill have to check the filter more often
