I'm heading to the track tomorrow(Friday) to see if I can lay down that 15.3 or better. My car is running like it's 3 months old...better in fact, and I've done the other prep work; weight loss and traction. I've already removed 150lbs from the car, and removed another 100 for the track day. As well, I've treated my near bald Azenis to some tire softener.
I'm heading up with at least 3 other Protegs too. Another of which is a GT. Here's some pics of the car is full race mode....
Those rear door shells weigh only 11lbs each, compared to the 50lbs the stock doors weigh. Don't worry, they're spares. I didn't go and gut my newly painted doors.....
