ALL MAZDA TRACK DAY @ MAZDA RACEWAY LAGUNA SECA - August 28, 04

The kid was the brother-in-law of one of the instructors. He was out there to show him how to control it. I think that is the best idea if a 16 y/o is gonna have a car with that much power.

L/S was an absolutely amazing track. I wish the MSP would be more consistent with the power delivery as it is kind of unnerving when the car decides that it'll actually make power.

My favorite section of the track was the corkscrew and turn 9 after it.

Great job to the organizers and thanks to Corksport for sponsoring the event. If I keep the car, I will definately look at your products.

AND... I've been to a few track days (4 or 5) and have never seen that much carnage in one day. A miata with engine problems, a wrecked FC, a wrecked FD. I think that was it.

that was a very special weekend for me, because unless I ever move to California, this most likely will be the ONLY time I'll ever drive on Laguna Seca. Glad to meet some of you norcal guys!

Yeah, I figured that he was out there learning how his new car handles and was trying not to push it too hard. I wish I could've learned all those techniques at that age.

I saw two black FC's, I heard talk that the Orange FC crashed, and I saw the Spec-miata took some damage. But I have a feeling that maybe one or two more cars suffered some damage.

I was almost a stastic that day too.

wasnt that just moments before you spun out? lol post that video so i can see my car pass by:D there is supposed to be another all mazda track day there again next year and we are all first on the list. i plan on doing some exhaust mods by then so maybe i wont get schooled so bad:p

The orange FC grounded out a wire and blew a fuse. At least that's what he told me.

Oh yeah, one of the instructors wrecked his IS300 on the way to the track. About 1 mile from the track he hit a deer.

Yeah, the ride alongs were crazy. I got one with an instructor in a blue Miata with street brakes and Toyo RA1s and where I was braking, he was gassing. He said that if I had a harness he would have driven it harder. (shocked)

Thanks for coming out....
