VIS CF Hood

Hey everyone I just bought a VIS carbon fiber hood from unfadeablewagon (Kenny) for $280! I drove from San Diego to Anaheim to pick it up. The hood was pretty much brand new and he was even generous to let me install it at his pad. He was a cool guy no doubt! (wrc) This guy is 100% legit and has a few more items for sale such as a full airbag setup for the Protege 5.

The install was very very very simple but at the same time I was worried about fitment issues that a few people had. However Kenny assured me that it would sit flush and fit all the way around and it looked beautiful! (moon) I want to get a coat on it just so that it'll have that shine all the time.. (that rhymes) But the pictures will show you what I'm talking about. Ummm.. I'm just worried about the hood vibrating and my friends told me to get hood pins but I hate the look of hood pins (poke) I'm hoping to either get the DG fiberglass lip or a lowering kit next. Overall a happy Pr-owner! (2thumbs)

Im debating about hood pins to. Just adjust the rubber stops and it will keep your hood from vibrating to much. Havent had any problems with it latching yet either, thank god, so I dont know if ill get the hood pins cuz I dont like them also. Hood looks good though

looks good. if you could try to get a pic from a little more distance(daytime) that'd be great. i too have a black p5 and would like to see the contrast between the carbon and the black paint. I'm interested in getting the wings west evo hood. if the contrast is too much i might get it painted when i finally buy my hood.

i too have a VIS hood and i don't even notice any vibrating on the highway. the only time it does is when i take some bumps, but i doubt it'll fly off.

ooks good but i can definately see where Fiber images does a better job with the CF weave. On the vis it is real wavy and kind of erratic while on the FI hood it is like a machine pattern it is so straight. Im glad i waited and paid a bit more.

Cant beat it for 280 tho

i think it just might be the lighting, i have the VIS too and mine looks more similar to your's
