Kenwood DDX7015 in MSP

I'm curious if anyone has been successful installing the Kenwood DDX7015 into their MSP. If anyone has, How well did it go in? Where did you get it? and How much did you pay for it? According to crutchfield it wouldn't fit but I did a search on the forums and didn't come up with much. Any insights would be great.

oh it fits. i LOVE this unit... great great awesome. i paid 899 for it, but i got it at cost through my work. you usally can get it for about 1300-1399 from a retailer, just bargain.

i installed it myself, but i am a professional! haha. i didn't charge myself for the install tho. (laugh)

OK, you installed it yourself... BUT, did you do any custom fabrication to make it work, or did it install with the factory mounts and trim?

i did not do any custom fabrication... it mounts with its cage perfectly, all you have to do is take off that little bar that runs across the radio opening on the MSP. put the cage in, wire it up, presto!

nice instal... wonder why on the crutchfield site it says that this will not fit the protege?
