Body Shops (Warning: Big Pictures)

Yes, the day has come that I've been avoiding thus far. Someone backed into my car and put some substantial scratches/dent into it.

As much as I don't want to deal with this, what are some good bodyshops around? Also, how much do you suspect this will cost (hoping to avoid dealing w/insurance due to deductable and increased premiums . . . ugh!)

Sucks . . . this capped off an all around bad day.

Hamakua Auto Body Paint and Repair in Kailua does a pretty good job, and they're somewhat cheap. That's where my friend got his lip painted. It cost him 90 bucks to get his lip painted, and they did it in like 2 days. I'm gonna go there myself when I finally paint my front bumper, Rear bumper from Lang, and possible some other stuff as well. And your damage doesn't look too bad, so cost-wise, shouldn't be too scary. Although, i know the bumpers on the G35's are huGANJOUS, because my friend has one as well. Good luck with that man.

if it was just the bumper i would say you could get away with 200 $ ,that little nick in the quarter panel will cost you some more as they would have to paint the whole quarter panel to do the job right . if the body man is any good you could have a blend job done . You would still have to clear the whole quarter and the whole bumper .
You might get away with 350 $ to do the whole thing

damn, that's not too bad at all . . . coming from Kalifornia, I was expecting people to be throwing out $1000 - $2000 estimates. If it's less than 500, I'll be more than happy.

Suckage man. Sorry to see that. So where's the dude live? Group beat down. lol. J/P

Heres a tip: Stay away from GX Auto. Totally ****** over my friend's wrx. Had it for 6 months and the job they did looked like they did it in a week.

I highly recommend Tech One. I've had a few friends go there and they did a kick ass job. The prices are pretty good too.

Thanks all for the info. I'll check those two places out and see what I can do. I reinspected the damage and it wasn't as bad as i thought . . . i'm suprised how thin the paint is though . . . my RX-7's paint is about 5x as thick (again, i unfort. know becasue someone backed into that car too).

It was a bump and run. Even so, my deducible is like 250 or 500, so not even worth reporting (esp. given the success rate of solving this type). Kinda a bummer, but looking at all the cars around Honolulu, I figured it was just a matter of time, and I was right (sucks though).
