The Rims I wanna put on my black mazda6 5-door are in the attachment, they are the Kazera KZ-S Chrome plated. They come 18-7, do I have to worry about rubbing in the wheel well, on tire rack it recommends 225/45?..........what size profile tired should i get with it, would those be good? Thanks for your help

225/35/18 would do ya just fine...Im not sure if you can squeeze a 225/40/18 though(shrug)

if u can, go for it (nana)

225/40 should be fine however I would look into other wheels kazera wheels are heavy as hell I was lookin at some other and they weighed 25lbs a piece and were not even chrome

if you want 18" chromes, chances are you dont do much auto-Xing and dont care how much rims weigh ;)

by auto-Xing, you mean auto racing? And no, I do not plan on racing my car but I dont want to make it too heavy, will 100 lbs shouldnt make much of a difference right?

What do both the numbers stand for in 225/40? Cuz I know there are all different types of sizes. thanks for your help.

um if you notice I said they werent even chrome meaning no I dont want chrome 18's. I was sayin I was looking at kazera wheels and they were damn heavy and not even chrome so you can imagine what their chromes would be

225/40/18

225= read width
40= sidewall height
18= size of wheel it goes on.

and 100 lbs would make a huge diff

This thread is not about you! I was referring to allstr, in that if he wants big chrome rims he probably doesnt care THAT mch about weight, as long as they dont weigh some 30lbs w/o tires ;)

well why did you quote me then. and they probably are close to 30lbs since the simple 5 spokes I was lookin at were 25lbs and were just plain silver

i quoted you so that my post would remina in context...

perhaps i should have used "someone" rather than "you" since i didnt mean YOU...I meant any person in general that wants chrome 18s...

you have something to learn about this forum, just relax and dont take things personally :cool:

I didnt take thing personally and I dont see how I need to relax you quoted me and I responded and figured you were talking about me since you quoted me thats all

nope, I was talking about allstr...its all good, dun worry bout it :D

Well anyways I would stay clear from kazera the wheels are very heavy if you like that wheel maybe look over at motegi

what style of wheel do you like? In the world of big chrome rims there are LOTS of styles. From thin 5-6 spokes like you posted, to mesh, to ones that seem like a sold disc of chrome with tiny slits in them(lol2)

I'm leaning towards the 8 spoke chrome rims, that have a cool look to them, I like the evenly spread out ones so far, do you guys have any suggestions. I dont want to weigh my car down, I love the acceleration the mazda6 has. Please give me some opinions. what are some websites that i can look at chrome rims at, i already know about tirerack.com. thanks guys

225= read width
40= sidewall height
18= size of wheel it goes on.

Minor modification

40 = Percentage of first number

so 195/50 and 225/50 don't have the same sidewall height, but instead, respectively, 97.5mm and 112.5mm.

Which is why when you switch sizes, from, say 195/55/whatever, you can (ideally) move to 205/50/(samewhatever) or 215/45/(same whatever).

Etc.

Oww - my eyes hurt from looking at those wheel pix. But whatever floats your boat!

Wheelmax has had conflicting reviews. Good, bad and ugly. Wheen I called, they were clueless (spoke to two people) and uncompetitively priced. I didn't call back.

ive heard mixed reviews about both sites...

ive heard worse about wheelsnext and their timeframes...i.e. they take a LONG time to ship.
