Okay so as aways I couldt sleep lastnight, so I figurd id be prductive atleast. So I broke open my spiffy new can of Edead V3 paint-on sound deadening.
I already had some sound deadening done, but the plastic rattle was getting annoying, and I've wanted to legitimately do my doors for awhile. I've seen some ppl mention that the black "dimples" do help keep rolled down windows form rattling, so I figured I'd find a way to leave them intact.
Anyway, the V3 is pretty cool stuff. kinda a strange consistency, but once you get a method figured out, it goes up FAST... Basically, you sortof "slap" it on, and smooth it around, trying to brush it on only smears it off of your surface... I coated the upper parts of my door (above the side-impact beam) and then put an extra layer ontop of my normal eDead for the hell of it. WHile I was at it, I figured I might as well do my doorpanel as well. Notsure if it'll do anything, but hey, The eD guys did it to their GTI, so Why not?
