Time to put you guys to shame...

ASUS P4B533-E Motherboard
Pentium 4 - 2.4 Ghz, 533 Mhz FSB, overclocked to 2.8Ghz
512 MB PC 2700 (could be lower, pretty bad yes) RAM
Nvidia GeForce 4 4200Ti, overclocked.. how far i pushed it i have no idea
2x Maxtor 40gig 7200rpm hard drives
Sony 16x DVD
Sony 40x28x40 (something like that) CD-RW
Riced out case
Enough fans and lights to keep my roomate up until 6am
ViewSonic 15'' LCD monitor
Logitech 5.1 speakers (with an annoying blue LED that also keeps my roommate up)
Jenny McCarthy FHM calender
Various Empty bottles of booze

Ok.. so I didn't put you all to shame.. but gimmie a break, I built this system almost 2 years ago, and at the time it was badass. I'll post some pics for the hell of it. I plan to oneday use some kinda piping to make a "cold air intake" straight to the CPU, and add more lights and ricer periphenilia. Yes, i'll even throw in a wing. The thing is already loud enough, so it sounds like its got an exhaust.(ricer)

ATI 9800 Pro specs Fill Rate 5.0 Billion texels/sec, Mem Bandwidth 22.3 Gb/sec, Memory Data Rate 900 mhz, pixels per clock 28.0/sec

To a gigatic nerd that means a lot just from a Video card. And that is ATI top card the one they just came out with too. And it only has 128 MB physical memory, its still 256 bit, but the Nvidia is 256 memory, 256 bit. Much better card. And s*** man it has lots of blinky things, that get non intelligent people like myself excited. Yes I do agree the black is better, but they didnt have it at the time. But i was in a hurry. I still love it alot. Playing some Farcry right now. Runs perfect.
what about the ati X800? isn't it faster - i know it cost more...

nice rig ghost! i built my " beast " almost 1 1/2 years ago. i havent had extra money to build a newer machine since then, cause i spend it all on my car. but my current setup is:

Abit IS7-E
Thermalright SLK-900u Heatsink

ATI Brand 9800 Pro 128mb

160gig Seagate 7200rpm
40gig WD 5400 (download drive)
Aopen 4x4x40 DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW

i actually got a bad cpu compared to most of the 2.4c / 2.6c early batches, people were taking their 2.4c's and overclocking them to 3.2ghz on air at stock vcore, and some even got as high as 3.4ghz at stock vcore. i was only able to hit a 400mhz overclock, 3.03ghz using a 1.65vcore, which is pretty damn high for a 400mhz overclock on this cpu, but its been running this way for almost 1 1/2years, so i aint complaining.
933fsb is much better then the default 800fsb, but ghost's machine is ******* ownage!
