Thanks dreamym5! That is the same locking mechanism that I have. Oh and I found a way to make my own adapter. I went to Can Tire and found a 1/2" PCV System Grommet that works really well. Al I have to do is shave off a little bit of the hard rubber on one side of the ring to make it look like...

here is an update, the stock H7 adapter would not work with my HID bulb because the adapter expects the actual bulb would have a dual prong. So I have to keep looking for one.

guys guess what, I called Mazda parts dept and asked if there is such an adapter. The fellow nicely told me that I can just use the adapter that came with the stock bulbs, apparently! He said just use a flat screwdriver and carefully pry it off and use it on the new bulb. If I can find the...

I wonder if anyone has similar problem with their Mazda5. I'm using a pair of Pilot HID clone D2S bulbs (www.pilothid.com). The base of this D2S bulbs are much thinner than the stock bulbs. So unless you make the base ring thicker, the wire lock would just be very loose. Does anyone else...

dreamym5, couple of questions about your hid installation. 1) Are there any special wiring needed? 2) I heard that the trade off is no DRL but the Auto light feature still works. Is that right? 3) Where did you mount the ballasts? I would be nice if you can upload some photos for that. Thanks!

I just got an 08' Mazda5 and I want to install HID as well. I assume the connections would be similar to your 07's. Can you upload some pictures on where about you hide the ballast please? Finding a good place to hid them is always a challenge. Thanks../Ken
