Think its the subwoofer. Maybe the japanese spec cars come with spare tire and ours do not? The sub is placed in the centre of the spare tire I think.

Thanx for the info. The new CX-5 will be shown here in Europe next week at the Geneva Motor Show. And I think the car will go on sale late spring. Will take it for a spin when it arrives to my dealer.

Interesting. So you have had a chance to take the 2017 model for a spin? Did you try the new Bose system out - is it better than the old one? Is there any noticable difference if we look at the engine and gearbox (quieter, smoother, faster etc)?

Seems the 2017 model have 10 speakers and if I do my counting right thats means it will have a subwoofer (three speakers on the dash, four in the doors, two in the rear pillars and one sub). What do you guys think?
