If it's lots of black/blue smoke on startup, it may actually be a valve stem seal. If its your piston rings, you could do a compression test, then add some oil into each cylinder, and then do another compression test. If the compression goes up a lot, then it's rings. If not, then it's valve or...

Some of our guys might go to the SCC as well but I'm not sure. I didn't like how the last year I went, they kept putting me against stupidly fast cars like that J-spec 300ZX TwinTurbo and Skyline R34. We'll see.
