This is a custom, handmade deerskin leather shift boot. I made it myself with the same pattern I used for mine. (You can see the details about that in this thread) This one is made out of the same material as the one in my car. I made it to fit over my E4Performance STS, which is 1.6" shorter...

I decided to tackle this today, and it turned out to be a little more tricky than rs gives off. The aluminum seems to be coated with some kind of scratch resistance film. And this film is tough as s*** to get off. I spent about 1.5 hours working on it with 180 grit paper before heading back to...
