Hard to say as I've never pulled the actuator out before. Have a look at the online repair manual here. That's where I grabbed the photo I posted above - you may find more useful info there. The site is aimed at the Australian RHD market but the info is virtually identical for LHD. Good luck!

It most likely is on the same side. Car manufacturers will only make the necessary changes to their vehicles to accommodate LHD and RHD markets. All else should be the same to minimize manufacturing costs. And maximize profit. 😁 Best of luck with the repair and let us know how it goes!
