Ok I am hoping this is the right place to be this time....I have a 95 Protege LX that when driven in town does not overheat but drive 30 or so miles out of town and start to come home temp gauge pegs out and coolant in reservoir is boiling and doesn't cool down until you let the car sit and add...

yes my fans work and by overheating I mean the temp gauge pegs out and the car is hot....fluid in reservoir boiling....put in a 195 degree thermostat but am thinking that is the wrong one....the temp isn't fluctuating...just goes up and doesn't come down until the car cools off...car does not do...

I have a 1995 Mazda Protege that overheats after I go on an out of town trip as soon as I get into the town I live in....I have had the thermostat changed but it still has the same problem...there are no leaks, head gasket is fine, all the hoses look to be in good shape and it drives...
