Thanks everyone! This is the first winter when I've noticed the issue and it is related to the low temperatures most likely. However no water in that area.
I lubricated it and it seems okay for now. Will see how it goes.
This is just a random pic from internet. I'll try to lubricate first will see if it helps. Not sure what part I'll need to fix this issue either B095-56-890F or KB7W-56-880A as well
Yes, when I push it in it is either stuck or slowly getting out. That's why I'm asking if it anyone got the same issue what is a better option to replace or trying to lubricate not sure about the whole mechanism. Maybe there is a broken spring or something?
P.s. WD-40 doesn't lubricate it is...
I've noticed that pin doesn't work properly anymore. Doesn't hold the lid. Is it possible to maybe lubricate that pin somehow to make it work again or just easier to replace it? What is the correct part number? I assume it fits almost all modern CX-5?
I guess it will be easy to replace it...
TBH modern cars can't compete with 90s cars on durability. I can see one of my cx-5 2017 already shows rust in some small spots... It's not even close to those models from 90s.
What about a general advice not to change oil brand on the fly? Is it a just a forums stories?
What is the actual damage to change oil brand let's say once a year?
I buy Mobil so it's a bit more expensive + I don't change it myself and usually do it in my local shop. Anyway it costs a lot less than in the official dealership.
I used to change oil in an official dealership for around $80 in US now it costs around $130 for the same job... Well, I'm not doing it anymore. $39 for (5qt oil + filter) + $35 to change it in a local service = $69 total. If you ask nicely they can look at your brakes and levels also...
Hi, what's dealership it was? I also live in MA and looking for a good deal for CX-5 GT.
And I also have a question where is the price bottom line for CX-5 GT? 300$ ? I see you got 315$ per month it seems like a good deal, doesn't it?
