Yeah, too bad I had already drilled out the huck bolts on the bad LSD and got the final drive off hahaha. Oh well. Didn't take that long. Battery drill and an air hammer/chisel worked great. :D

Also, that piece I posted earlier as being broken - I was told it was the reverse lockout. It very well may be, but if you call the dealer and ask for that part, they'll laugh at you lol. It's called a Guide Plate, Mazda part no. F520-17-480K. In my case, the part that was broken actually...

So does that final drive gear need to get attached to the new LSD? Or does the new LSD come with a new final drive gear? If it doesn't, I would assume they would send you bolts with the new LSD to bolt the final drive on? Or more big ass rivets? Haha.

How do you take the final drive off the LSD? Do those pins get pressed in/out?

Well thanks then! I'll have to figure out how it goes back on, unless you all have some pointers! My logical guess was that the ovals lined up, but to attach the spring to it lol.

So this other piece that was broken....It was held on with a spring to a piece that was bolted with a 12mm and a 10mm bolt, under the diff. Any idea what that's for? Or called? Pics are worth 1000 words, I know. I'll try to get some up shortly.
