I did that mostly because I was reading through the forum and someone advocated doing that to help with activating the DIS. Now I'm all bummed that it won't work on my dinky single CD system... :(

I tried disconnecting my battery on my 2008 Mazda3 Sport. No happy ending :( I'm really bummed out about this. Does anyone know anyone who works for Mazda?
