I tried that and it really looked bad. I couldnt get the stuff to cut smothly and if i did it would fall apart in a few days. Im having zero luck on this part. I read people take it out and trash it. WERE IS YOUR TRASH??!?!?!?
really wanted to stay with OEM parts. I thought getting the stock pad would be really easy. I have the underside of the hood coverd in damplifier pro(build log on other forum). Looks like crap kinda when I open the hood. Wanted the stock pad to hide it.
Need the padding on the underside of the hood, any none turbo 3 works.

well I'm guessing it dose something with heat but I just want it to cover up the layer of second skin I'm putting under the hood. I'm going to finish the truck up this weekend and next is soundproofing the engine bay.

for anyone running amps with this unit, what wire did you use for the turn on wire? Im not haveing any luck with the one im useing. getting a very bad pop on turn on and I dont have cheap amps. soft turn is working but the unit has to boot up so the soft turn-on on the amps is to fast.
