Mine's an '08, but both the DVD and the AUX work (press the media button a second time to access AUX).

Yes, it's the cold. We have the same issue in our CX-9, as well as in my BMW 5 series; previous cars with these screens were also affected (Sienna, VW Phaeton). It's the nature of the LCD screen; the "Liquid" part of the display gets affected by the cold and it gets better as the car warms up.

Done it with my iPhone and it works great. They sell the correct cable at the Apple Store.

Yes, just push the "Media" Button twice and you should have the "Aux" input selected.

Bought an '08 GT with Nav/DVD. My wife really wanted Sirius; the salesman informed us that the Aux input would absolutely not work; we went ahead anyway. They were apologetic about the cost ($750) which was high because of the need to install a "Switchbox" at the time of the install. Even so...

Was having the same problem with my wife's iPhone. Did a restore of the phone and now seems to be fine.

Thanks. I think the connection thing may be more of an iPhone issue than a CX-9 issue. Will check the air vents.....
