Looking at a Mazda3 - How are they for winter?

Reporting from Canada Here, I went from a 2013 Crosstrek to a 2014 Mazda3 Hatch. With the Crosstrek I never got stuck, even on mountain roads that other vehicles had got stuck on/hit the ditch however on snowy/icy highways I found the Crosstrek would not hold a straight line at higher speeds...

    2014 Mazda3 Sport Tires

Doesn't look like I can get the pzero here just the p7 and the cinturato p7. On tirerack people seem ti like the michelin premier a/s, pirelli cinturato p7, and the continental purecontact in that order. according to the specs the michelin has thinner tread depth than the other two and a lower...

    2014 Mazda3 Sport Tires

Alright, I know what the best winter tires are, but I am looking for some advice for a new set of summer tires. I drive my car mostly on city/highway 30/70 split, with the odd gravel road. Lots of long distance road trips so a less road noise would be better (although anything will be quieter...

So far disappointed in Mazda3 Hatchback seat and phone charger

My 2014 mazda3 hatch the driver & passenger seats recline almost until they hit the back seats, so not sure whats up with your rental, maybe somehow the seat adjustment got damaged? As for the built in USB, its definitely a dissapointment, does not seem to support high amps, or fast charge...

Can't use fob after exiting running car

I don't think it's a glitch, Every new car I have driven since 2012 locks out the fob buttons while the engine is running, Subaru, Mazda, Hyundai and Nissan. Hell, even my 98 Taurus with keyless entry disabled the fob when the engine is running.

    reverse lights not working help!

I would double check the fuse, then put it in reverse and check for voltage at the reverse lights with either a multimeter or just use a test light. If you have no voltage at the reverse lights it is probably the gear position sensor which is probably located on the transmission. I googled and...

    Fwd?

It never occurred to me that some states don't allow studded tires. Every province in Canada allows studded tires (although some only allow them in the winter months). I honestly don't notice any difference in mileage between my winter and summer tires.

    Fwd?

I went from an AWD Subaru XV to a FWD 2014 Mazda3 Hatch. I put Nokian Hakkapelita 8 studded tires on both and I dont think i can even count on one hand the number of times I wish I still had the AWD. I have never been stuck in my mazda, but have been stuck in the subaru because I got...

    Legroom LED

Hard to tell from that picture, but i would suspect that your dome light has a 3-way switch (off-auto-on) and therefore on that 3 wire plug there is 1 ground wire, 1 auto(door on wire) and one always on wire. You could either use a multi-meter to figure out which is which and solder pig tails...

    Car & Driver magazine's long-term test of 2015 Mazda 3

I usually drive about 120-130kph highway depending on the speed limit (usually only 100-110) which translates into 75-80mph, so my mileage is pretty good i think!

    Car & Driver magazine's long-term test of 2015 Mazda 3

I have a 2014 Manual Hatchback, and I have to say it definitely deserves the #1 rating in the compact car category that car and driver gave it. I have driven about 66000kms (41000 miles) and really have no complaints, whether driving in the city, on the highway, or on those fun curvy mountain...

can a product made to be used out of the box be hard wired into the car or not?

I was suggesting that there isn't a "one size fits all" option for installing electronics and that hard-wiring part of a device while still being able to easily disconnect it is an excellent option. You are so against hard-wiring things in but if you look at a car stereo which is "hard wired"...
