Whats the most power anyone has massaged out of the 2.0L with no forced induction. The mx-5 has 170 on the same motor right?

Yeah, they are just the black caps, my thought was to try to get more cool air around where the airbox draws from. It's not going to make any real difference I know, but I can never leave well enough alone.

would removing those would be fog lights help bring cooler air to my motor? I noticed the airbox draws from right around there. How do they come out?

Thanks, I know the specs of the ms3, the 3i has the triple h frame construction as well. But getting the most out of an existing engine and suspension doesn't mean I am trying to make my car something its not. If I wanted a 210+ motor, I would get an all wheel or rear wheel drive car anyway.

ha ha, funny but its not, although I am very satisfied with the feel of the motor, I was wondering what i could do to get the most out of it. Also, cna i put the suspension from a ms3 on a 3i? I think she could benefit from a 1 3/4 to 2 inch drop. oh cars are so addictive

What do you meen "fleeting driveability issues" also, is that engine mount problem with the 3i or just the ms3?

I just test drove a mazda 3i touring and I really liked it. Anything I should know about these cars before I get it. I had vw/audi's/bmw's all my life, and I am sick of the head aches. Are these cars easy to own?
