Is the Transmission the Weak point for the Speed3?

i have had a lot of owners use royal purple or redline. i also like amsoil ($$$). any synthetic will work. just make sure if you use synthetic make sure that is all you ever use. the tranny i have heard is good to about 500-550hp. the clutch is a dual mass flywheel. that is mazda and a lot...

Is the Transmission the Weak point for the Speed3?

you defenitely need to take apart your tranny to appriciate how advanced it is. the ring gear is bolted to the diff with 16 fasteners! it is about 2" thick and about 10" in diameter. the trans has three main shafts and the shift forks are friggin HUGE. actually everything in the MS3 tranny...

Why cant our community be like this?!?!

Betelgeuse, I whole heartedly agree with you and thank you for the positive support. I think the thing a lot of people are confusing is that I am not trying to get Mazda or the Dealerships to say "ok well cover everything"! Matter of fact if you go out and put nitrous on your car thats your...

    Broken Recall Motor Mount

at my dealer. they warrenty everything. and i mean everything. it is not a dealer that would void a warrenty. it was mazda. dealers could refuse to work on your car and make you pay because they want more money then what mazda warrenty pays thenm to do the job. but there are some dealers...

    Broken Recall Motor Mount

i have seen the mounts. they are cheap cast metal. i agree with you all. i just think that a 6,000 rpm clutch drop for a burn out with ultimately cause something to get loose or break. you have all seen the wheel hop that these cars make when you burn out. just hink about it. and yes the...

    Broken Recall Motor Mount

the only time they void warrenties the only time they mazda voided a warrenty on a car is when someone used it in a way not intended. modifications, racing, etc.... NOTE: if you break at the local racetrack. pay the $100 and get towed to another place. anywhere but the race track. mazda...

oil around the cold side flange on the intercooler

the pcv system blows in the intake manifold from the front of the motor on the block. that would not cause oil in the ic tubing. it would blow from the block through the pcv system to the intake and then into the motor and out through the exhaust.

oil around the cold side flange on the intercooler

i mean turbo blow-by. when a turbo shaft is floating on a thin layer of oil (ie. journal/floating bearing) then seals inside the turbo maintain pressure on the shaft and the housing not allowing oil to leak by. but when you have a turbo that is spinning at 40,000+ rpm the shaft will tend to...

oil around the cold side flange on the intercooler

the only ways that oil get into your ic plumbing is from blow-by. that is the turbo seals moving around and oil leaking and is being forced through the plumbing.
