I have mine tucked into the cubby hole in front of the shifter. The guys at best buy made a bracket and even hard wired it into my aux line. works fine for me.

In my youth I ran valet for a few years and the standard protocol is to leave the fob with the valet and take the actual key. Let them worry about where to hang it. I am sure they have a system for just such an instance.
