I downsized to 215/50/17 Michelin X-Ice on Wheels from TireRack. Just had them put on since yesterday so not much to report. The tire/wheel combo was less then just 18in winter tires, and I got them put on for free with an oil change.

So far I like the JL audio C5-650 (was $500 at the store though) and a $160 Pioneer 2 way component set that I could not identify online. The focal 165 was also ok (and I read you can adjust the tweeter down by a few db in the crossover) I read elsewhere the Polk MM6501 was supposed to be laid...

I like Dynaudio, Sonus Faber speakers, Sennheiser PX 100 headphones all for their laid back highs. What 6.5" or 6x8 2 way component set would you recommend? Budget is $200 ($300 max). (so the Dynaudio car speakers are probably out). This is for a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3. Thanks S.

Good idea, but I think I want to keep the stock seat for selling the car. I'd rather pay the price for a replacement and stow away the stock seat this way I can restore the car to its original condition.

Oh, THAT handle. Yeah, I tried that, but it does not change the back rest "brackets" cutting into my back rather than bracketing it.

I'm 6ft/300lbs; I test drove the car twice & I just get a back-ache from the stock (GT) seat. I'd want bucket seats, but they'd need to be an inch or two wider. Has anyone had this problem, what seat did you get, and what did it cost you? I e-mailed a local recaro dealer but they did not...

Thanks. Yeah the car I drove was new. So do I get this right, it's a little stiff, it can be imroved some with aftermarket parts, but it's not going to be great.

Drove the MS3, WRX and GTI on the weekend... they're all good, fun cars, people should chill a bit :) Question wrt the transmission, I was very unimpressed with the stick shift on the Mazda. It required a lot of force getting in and out of gears, it felt as if one was moving a lot of weight...
