What I was reading in another Mazda3 owners forum is that it still works in the '08 models with a few caveats. Only works if you have a 6-CD HU (Single doesn't seem to work for some reason). Procedure still seems the same as before, i.e. after seeing the DIS ON you again turn off the car...
