I've got a 2003 Protege ES and my second alternator failed after less than 2 years, and it was a Remanufactured Bosch. When I replaced it the first two units I put in failed. I actually had to have Autozone bench test the third replacement just to make sure it wasn't DOA.

P0500 - VSS. Today I pulled the spark plug wires and checked for moisture and then reset the CEL, which seemed to fix the rough idle in park, but just reseating the speed sensor connector didn't resolve it. There weren't any obvious signs of moisture in the connector, either. Also checked...
