I've been too busy to keep up on the board. What clunk? I have noticed that the alarm seems to go off for no reason sometimes, but I didn't know it was a common problem. Are both these things acknowledged by the dealership and fixed under warranty? Byers did do my flash a couple of months ago.

Thanks to the board, I had a successful first ever oil change! No more Jiffy Lube! Now I'm thinking about changing my transmission fluid to a higher quality fluid. Anyone care to detail the proper steps for changing the tranny fluid on the Mazdaspeed? Also, how frequently does the fluid need...

For those using K&N filters, what is the correct part number? K&N's site doesn't actually list a Mazdaspeed Protege, so I want to make sure I get the best fit for the car. Suggestions? Thanks!!

I've checked out the many posts on the forum about oil changing and have a pretty good idea of what to expect and what to look out for. Would anyone like to suggest a checklist of supplies and/or tools I should have available for my first oil change? I've never changed my own oil before, but...
