I picked up a ScanGaugeE http://www.amazon.com/ScanGaugeE-Multifunction-Computer-Customizable-Real-Time/dp/B004SK5I46 The bummer there is that it's going to be a real hassle to mount - I have it stuck to the vent pod temporarily, but there's not a single flat surface on the whole dash!

I actually spent a while contemplating a WOT switch that would turn off the A/C. The switches are easy to get, and it shouldn't be too hard to set up... Thus far, it hasn't annoyed me enough to have me out chasing a fix.
