Mazda5 Tires: Issues & Replacement Recommendations

Time for an update. 33 months and 30,000 miles later, the well documented negative camber / toe in in the rear has eaten through the inner sides of my General Altimax HPs. It's a bummer, since the center and outer sides of the tires still look great. Tires were rotated regularly, and our 5 is...

    Mazda5 Battery Life Expectancy Question

The OEM battery on my '06 bit the dust today. Manufacture date on the car was January 2006, so we got about 3.5 years out of the battery. I'm not going to deal with the dealer replacement proration.

Mazda5 Tires: Issues & Replacement Recommendations

After about a week with the Altimax, the wife is very happy with them. It's primarily her car, so that's good news for me. Road noise is down and the ride is softer. I agree with others, the 215/50 size looks like what Mazda should have put on them originally. So far, seems like a good...

Mazda5 Tires: Issues & Replacement Recommendations

Thanks for the info, Dave. I ordered Altimax HPs (215/50R17 as well) from Tire Rack, and they were just delivered to me (2 days!) I'll have them installed on the wife's 5 tomorrow, and will report back shortly. Her only requirements were 'quieter and less harsh', which I'm thinking is a given...

Anyone have an opinion on Kumhos for the 5? Specifically either the Kumho Ecsta ASX, or the Kumho Solus KH16.

Mazda5 Tires: Issues & Replacement Recommendations

Anyone try the Yokohama AVID Touring-S? They look to be a new model and are reasonably priced. http://www.yokohamatire.com/tires/avid_touring_s.aspx

    2008 Mazda5: SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES!!!!

I'm new to the forums, but have been researching the Mazda5 for about a year. Thanks Benfolio for posting the 2008 MY change info! My wife and I were seriously considering a 2007, but neither one of us cared for the espresso leather (leather is a 'must have' for her). The armrests, the 2nd row...
