Yes it is possible to have bad oil rings with good compression. The other rings on top of the oil ring may be good and tight providing good compression but the oil rings may be shot below.

http://protegegarage.com/398-product-398.html That is the common upgraded fuel pump for our cars... i never understood the fuel filter in these things, i think that pump sits in a sock type filter.

And all you have to do is remove the rear seat and there is the fuel pump just unbolt it from the tank.

i did my side markers in my msp with Led's and no resistors and had no flash issues.
