Not sure about the transmission and have tried different fuel source and problem still there

Thanks Alex so does that mean no one has had any solutions to the pinging. In my case it's not a subtle noise but irritating as hell unless I drive around with blaring music to drown it out. Would hope someone out there if not Mazda have come up with a solution Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have the same annoying sound which is really blatant once the engine has warmed up and at 1500 rpm to 1800 rpm. And more so when taking foot off the gas as you don't hear the roar of the engine. Took it to the dealer and they hear it but don't know what it is. A couple of other cx5 s in for...

I have a new cx 5 diesel automatic, 6 months old, which has a strange sound coming from the engine. It sounds high pitched almost pinging, dynamo sounding which I can't figure out. Sounds a little like a loose fan belt or the valves? And does not make the noise when first started and cold but...

I experienced exactly the same problem but haven't really experienced cross winds. It just loud anyway at 100 km. Dealer has ordered new seals and hope this will do the trick. Will post results Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
