So if I get this right, you take the Gross weight (4572 lbs according to what I fond on the internet) minus the Curb weight (3389 lbs for the grand-Touring) = 1183 lbs. I'm guessing this should include passengers, cargo and trailer? (I'm going to be cutting it close).

I like the diesel suggestion. But at the very least, I would like to see better fuel millage (with the same power). A 5 speed AT is also a most for next year. Other than that I love my 5 and don't miss my MPV.

Would definately buy it again.. Like others have said, nothing else comes remotely close to it. I just wish that some of the european options would be available here (deisel, 6+1, rail roof rack etc.) All and all, this is the most fun/practical car I've ever owned. A 5-speed auto transmission...

Thanks Cruzdreamer. You're right! the seats were heating just fine this morning, with 12 degrees outside! The manual says they are controlled by thermostat. I suppose the it takes a reading of the temp inside the vehicle. THIS CAR IS AWSOME!! Can't get enough of it so far!! Next purchase...

Yes, the picture is totally over-exposed. I suspect it is much darker than that. This almost look like the MX5 leather, which is a much lighter brown than espresso. Anyone other pictures out there??
