Recommendations for Replacement Brake Rotors & Pads?

Thanks, Landru. RockAuto had the Akebono Euros noted as rear pads. They're different than the fronts, with built-in spring clips on one side. See the image here: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/euro-ultra-premium-ceramic-brake-shoes-rear-eur1095/14340355-P# --P

Recommendations for Replacement Brake Rotors & Pads?

Thanks, guys! After a LOT of research, I ended up going with the Centric rotors (only High-Carbon Alloy, part #Part # 12545069, for front; Premium, part #12045065, for the rear -- no High-Carbon available for rear) and I went with and Akebono pads (ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad, part...

Recommendations for Replacement Brake Rotors & Pads?

It's time to do the rotors and pads on our Mazda5. We're at 91k miles, minimal life left on the front pads, considerable vibration when braking. I've decided to put on all-new rotors and pads at all four corners. I'm about to research this, but I didn't find much info on this forum. I'd been...

Looking for Good Mazda Indie in Atlanta

We have a 2008 Mazda5 and live in the Woodstock area. I'm looking for a top-notch independent Mazda repair shop to whom I can take the car when I can't do my own DIY work. Because I know these cars, I'll be ultra-picky about the repair shop we go with. Any recommendations in the Woodstock /...

ATF Slightly Overfilled -- Will This Create ATF Smell

Silentnoise713, it turns out that I had only SLIGHTLY overfilled. I decided to drain the fluid because I believed the gasket was the problem -- I hadn't used grease on it as prescribed. I did, indeed, clean off all the original OEM sealant compound and make sure the surfaces were clean ad...

ATF Slightly Overfilled -- Will This Create ATF Smell

Update. I think there was a small leak around the transmission's fluid pan gasket. I removed the pan, cleaned everything off, and I then applied black RTV to both sides of the gasket. We'll see, but I sure HOPE that fixed the problem. Might I add that I REALLY dislike the smell of ATF? --Peter

ATF Slightly Overfilled -- Will This Create ATF Smell

Thanks -- I'll check that out. I see you're in Smyrna, Rodslinger. We're in Woodstock. Do you do a lot of your own work on your 5? We just bought our '08 Grand Touring in July with 71k miles on it. Love it, but beyond this problem I created for myself, I think it's time for shocks and, at a...

Would Overfilling ATF Cause ATF Smell in Cabin?

Sorry for the double-post -- I've put this in the transmission sub-forum, as well. I recently replaced the ATF in my '08 5, using the technique one of this forum's members suggested -- pull off one of the hoses from the tranny cooler, attach clear hose that runs to bucket, and cycle the old...

ATF Slightly Overfilled -- Will This Create ATF Smell

I recently replaced the ATF in my '08 5, using the technique one of this forum's members suggested -- pull off one of the hoses from the tranny cooler, attach clear hose that runs to bucket, and cycle the old fluid out and new ATF in until the fluid runs clear. I also replaced the filter, which...
