I did check for the two locking sounds and got my duck tape ready just in case! Here are a few snaps of what's under the hood. I noticed there is this air intake type of piece that sits on top of the radiator. Not sure if this would give it the extra push. Thanks for the responses! Great...

Recently purchased a used 2002 Proteg5 and just noticed that the hood is a bit loose. It does lock, but the small open space on the sides is a bit annoying. I'm a super-novice at this so any suggestions and info is greatly appreciated! -pc3
