Just got my curt hitch delivered. Did you guys jack-up the rear end of your speed3s to install? Or did you somehow magically install it while the car was on the ground? I can barely get a drill under there (while on the ground) to widen the required holes. (shrug)

gah. Fiance just reminded me that we have a wedding-event to go to this Sat. Im going to have to bail :( next time.

Yep I'm garaged. To get back home I usually go down GW parkway and meander to the exit ramps on Rt1. Total debacle of traffic, at times!

Man. I work right here on GW Pkwy in old town and I see ZIPPY. I even eat lunch on king street quite often! It is possible I happen to have the worst timing of all time. If you see a CWP speed3 driven by a brown-guy in his late 20s, that's me (second)

Strange. I drive the Fairfax, Alexandria, and D.C. area on almost a daily basis and I have yet to see one! I'll keep lookin though. When I had my WRX, I use to always enjoy giving the subtle wave as we passed each other, another wrx that is.

That's the exact same reason my service dept gave me, for the carbon build up. I used the new-car delivery checklist that I found on this forum when I was inspecting for taking delivery and I did indeed make sure the VIN matched up to the window sticker to ensure it was a brand NEW 2009 model...

Diagnosis was carbon-buildup inside the direct-injection system. Fix was: remove carbon buildup. The tech said to let the car come up to a warm operating temp before driving off, and try to avoid short, frequenty stopping trips till break-in is complete.

I defenitely got the paperwork with a print-out of the CEL and the diagnosis/fix. I am happy to report that my brand new 09 ms3 GT is sitting comfortably in its parking spot right now (sans CEL!). Going to be all smiles tomorrow driving to work. Infact, I think I'm going to wake up early to...

arg. Ugh. Just got back from the dealer and did not have a pleasant experience. Eventually I learned that the CEL was a mis-fire report. Unfortunately, the techs they had in the service department today, don't have the ability do fully diagnose the reason. TOMORROW they will call mazda HQ...
