Regardless of what I will call an endearing sound from under the hood, (and thank you for the responses) I have had my new silver 03.5 MSP for two weeks now (after trading in a Cooper S) and, all in all, am very favorably impressed with this car. Best regards, and Godspeed to all.

I have been assuming that the protest from the angry squirrel emanating from under the hood everytime I let off the throttle is simply the way this car sounds when dissipating turbo boost. Could anyone tell me if I have been assuming correctly, or do I need to have the car serviced? Thanks.
