any news on using it with the stage 2 sts? I guess you could take off the bracket and just use the shorter shift stalk with this shift plate. This would replace the Cobb shifter weight right?

Look at the picture of the tein springs posted. If your set of 4 doesn't look like that pic (2longer ones and 2 shorter/bigger diameter) you have the incorrect springs. If they do look the same then you are on bova's fail boat and you installed them backwards and you should probably go down with...
