I leave 4 oz left in the sixth bottle and that puts it exactly at the full line and stays there until the next oil change. I went almost 6,000 miles on my last oil change and it didn't burn a drop.
Maybe your fuel pump took a crap? Doesnt' sound like anything too serious that warranty wouldn't take care of. I was expecting you to say your motor blew.
I'm moving back to Beaumont at the end of Sep. I'm getting out of the Navy. My car has never used oil, the level remains rock solid between changes. San Diego is known for it's mild climate though.
I use Royal Purple 5W30. I change my oil every 3000 miles, actually I always change it before so I don't go over. It's a little over the top, but I love my car, and if I have learned anything from being a helicopter mechanic it's that preventative maintenance is the key to keep something...
The OP didn't ask if an aftermarket BPV holds boost better than the stocker. I know the aftermarket ones hold boost better. He asked if the stocker goes bad and needs to be changed at 20K. The answer to that question is no. Mine holds boost the same as it did when it was brand new.
I bought my car and have had some service done at John Hine in San Diego. I have a CPE CAI, SUMM, and TXS Racepipe and they haven't given me any problems, even when I had the most recent reflash performed.
This thread is exactly why I hate this forum more every time I visit. Everyone is just a bunch of squabbling females. I love the "other" site much better and I hope all of you stay away so youd don't ruin it for all of us over there.
