Most seat bases are produced by Wedge Engineering (for seats such as Recaro, Corbeau, Sparco,Cerullo,Cobra, Flofit, Pro Car, Konig, Momo, etc.). You can order them directly from Wedge at http://www.wedgeengineering.net and save a few $.

tytanium: Yes, the female seatbelt buckle thingee is currently mounted to the Mazda seat frame. You will need to remove this and reinstall it onto the new seat bracket.

CChris704: You'll probably need the sliders that sit between the mounting bracket and the seats themselves. You should be able to get that from Sparco.

Just bought a set of Recaro SE seats. Wedge Engineering produces brackets for major and minor seat brands (Momo, Sparco, etc. I think) and that's where I'm buying the brackets for my Recaros.

All: In case anybody is interested... I just purchase my new Recaros (finally). They have a limited number (i.e. only 300 made) of the Recaro SE model (combination of comfort and sport). I paid $325 apeice (unheard-of price, MSRP is $450) along with Recaro sliders. I'm buying the mounting...

All: What do you think about the cloth seat comfort and ergonomics: Are the seats comfortable? Is the lumbar adjustment useful? Do your arms feel comfortable while driving? Is the dead pedal useful? Do you have an easy (i.e. not too far or close) reach to the gear shift knob? Any...

Mostly for comfort reasons. The seat is not comfortable for me and I need something a bit "easier" to drive around in the stop-and-go traffic.
