    will 20" cx9 with 245/50/20 (stock) fit?

Back to the original topic. I posted in the thread to give some basic real world feedback... might be able to add a couple things to clarify. The tire combo in question is a bad idea, if mpg and highway manners are important. I'm basing that on what I've seen from my tire change, and guessing...

    will 20" cx9 with 245/50/20 (stock) fit?

The general condescending nature , IMO, of your posts is what brings a more irritated response on my part. Normally I ignore that stuff, but I chose to address what I view as BS. That's how I see it and if you think that's making it personal, then so be it. pot and kettle. I can be as civil as...

    will 20" cx9 with 245/50/20 (stock) fit?

Mike, you are trying way too hard to find something to nit-pick. You look past the concept of the discussion, in order to jump at anything you see to criticize... even when you agree? I'm not like that, so I don't get it. After a while it does get irritating, yes. lol It appears you missed...

Ok, time for a break from the forums. Waste of time discussing or trying to help... with BS like that

    will 20" cx9 with 245/50/20 (stock) fit?

OMG, you must be joking?!!!! It's no surprise that you chime in to sound like a genius, to teach us all something. But wow, you underestimate the intelligence of others. I don't have a degree in any of this, but like so many others, I actually do know plenty about the basic physics involved...

    will 20" cx9 with 245/50/20 (stock) fit?

Yes, but the rim size itself isn't really the issue, except that larger rims are heavier than the same rim of a smaller size. So it does matter, a little. But the real issues are the overall diameter, weight, and width of the rim/tire. And maybe the tread pattern/rolling resistance of the...

    will 20" cx9 with 245/50/20 (stock) fit?

I wouldn't do it, especially on the 2.0l I can tell the difference just in going from stock 17s to my 255/18s. (which are heavier and larger than my 17s, but are pretty close to the stock 19s on both counts) A lot of the difference I'm seeing may be more in the tires... stickier, fatter tread...

    Low Fuel Warning Light

thatguy2013: that's hilarious... middle of NE is no place to be lost when low on fuel. LOL I think you were close to actually running out of fuel, but within the limit of the generous "reserve" that mazda gave the car. bamirault: from all reports, it's consistent that mazda built the car to have...

Anyone have the current status... any news/date?

Larger oil filter option/s in here.

The data is out there if you really want it. Like I said, some people are obsessed with oil and filters. They HAVE researched all the oils, cut open filters, sent out oil to the labs.... and have been doing it for a long time. I haven't done it myself, but I can learn something from those that...

    Mazda engine oil

Yeah, if the dealer is not using Mazda labeled oil, they should at least be using Castrol... which appears to be either the same as the oem or at least approved and supplied to the dealers by Mazda.

    18s on a CX-5

Looks good! Weight? Are those 40mm offset? Any pics from the back?

    18s on a CX-5

They don't make different lines so they can sell inferior product. With the Nitto tires I referenced, the quality is the same according to their tech support, and the warranty and specs are the same. They want exclusive lines for marketing advantages of the retailers, making it more difficult or...

Larger oil filter option/s in here.

For the record, I think the OEM oil is very good, based on independent testing I've seen on the internet, thanks to those who are obsessed with oil and go so far as to send in samples for analysis, trace who makes what brand oil, etc. Another 0-20 oil reported to be very good is Toyota...

Larger oil filter option/s in here.

Nothing special about the CX5... basic filter and oil principles apply. It's not a radical new idea. Mazda doesn't actually make the filters. Umm, that was sarcasm. BTW, Mazda5 is notorious for it's suspension issues. I didn't say handling was a problem. Read up on it. You are determined to...
