Possibly selling, what's a fair asking price?

    1. Silver 2. Factory recommended break in (I'll have to look to see what it was exactly) 3. Cleveland, OH 4. Yes, the mount recall has been performed. I owe about $22k on it, so I won't be taking 18-19. Sorry. If that's what I can expect to get for it I'll just keep it. Also, it's not actually...

Possibly selling, what's a fair asking price?

I may be selling my Speed3 since taking a job I can walk to. It's an '07, obviously, Grand Touring with 11,000 miles. What would be a fair asking price in the opinion of those present? Thanks, Mike

    Remove Sirius?

Hi everyone, My Speed3 came with the Sirius box, and I have no use for it whatsoever. What's worse is that they didn't put the switchbox in that allows me to use the AUX jack which means I can't use my iPod in the car either. I've priced the switchbox, and it's just more money then I care to...

    Shifting MS3 Smoothly

While I do intend to pursue the rear engine mount, I did find that moving the seat a little bit seemed to help a little this morning. I feel a little close to everything now (I'm only 5'8" so I was already kind of close), but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Thanks for the great responses! Mike

    Shifting MS3 Smoothly

Never mind about the mount question. Now that I have something to go on, a simple search on the site revealed that a replacement rear motor mount is the way to go. Protege Garage has one that is apparently the one to get, and it's only $89.99. Guess I know what I'm picking up...

    Shifting MS3 Smoothly

Does anyone make replacement motor and transmission mounts? Does it actually help? I'm willing to try that if that would make a difference. It's getting to be quite frustrating. For the person that asked, I've owned mostly Hondas, but have had a Hyundai Tiburon V6 and a Turbo Beetle, so this...

    Shifting MS3 Smoothly

Has anyone else found that it's very hard to drive the MS3 smoothly in 1-3? I've owned 7 cars in the 20 years that I've been driving, all of them manual transmission, and this car is by far the most difficult for me to drive smoothly in those gears. I say this after 6,000 miles in 4 months, for...

Best size for all season tires?

Thanks guys. I'm looking at the Continental Extreme Contacts right now. They get review that fall in between the Pirellis and the Bridgestones, but cost about the same as the Pirellis (a few bucks a tire more for slightly better snow traction reivews). h0rde, thanks for your comments on size...

    Site issues?

Thanks for the update. I was hoping it was something relatively simple like site teething pains. This is a great site, so I was hoping it wasn't on the way out. :)

Best size for all season tires?

I need to get tires for my MS3 after seeing how bad the stock ones really are in the snow this last week (I've only had the car for three weeks, so I hadn't gotten around to the tire stuff yet). I really don't think I need snow tires since I've always had good luck buying performance all seasons...

    Site issues?

Why is it that this site sometimes just doesn't load, or if it does it sometimes won't run a search? At times I've also had considerable trouble just making a post. I click submit and it gives me page cannot be displayed. I like this site a lot, but it's really frustrating sometimes. Mike

    Check Engine Light is back!!!!

Yeah, that's pretty bad. At least it isn't an SUV. I hate driving SUV's because they just don't feel stable at highway speeds. Not to mention that the Tribute is a warmed over Ford Escape, so all the same design and build quality issues are present in this thing. Honestly, after driving that for...

    Check Engine Light is back!!!!

I got my car back today. They had to keep it overnight until the part arrived. According to the workorder, the "intake runner servo" had failed and needed to be replaced. Apparently, this servo controls a valve with a steel flapper and a plastic housing. The two materials do not react to...

    Check Engine Light is back!!!!

It's there now. I have a crappy Tribute as a loaner though... I'll post my results.

    Check Engine Light is back!!!!

350 miles on my new MSP3, and the CEL went off this evening on the drive home from work... Damn. How does one find out the code, and how do you reset it? It's been below 10 degrees here in Cleveland for the last couple of days. I garage at night, but it sat out all day. Mike
