Sigh, that's what I feared. Thanks for the follow-up. If anyone knows where I can get a good deal on a used mirror, I'd appreciate it. My usual go-to's (eBay, copartfinder) aren't much better priced than buying a new or aftermarket mirror.

Did you ever find the part number for this piece? Just noticed tonight that it's missing from my wife's CX-5 and it doesn't appear in any of the parts diagrams I have found.
