Hopefully this thread is still alive. I'm kinda getting interested in this mod... 1. Is there a significant improvement using the 5-wire kit than the single wire thebeansoldier did? 2. for the single wire ground, how long does the wire have to be installed clean? thanks

I wanted that, but at the time I didn't have the budget for it, and I was a temp then so my income flow was unstable. perhaps my next car would be a speed3...(naughty)

sorry, I've been busy the last few weeks. Got the pics from my phone's camera. I had the windows tinted, and I should have smoked side markers coming in soon. Thinking bout LEDing the tails, blacking out the reflectors and emblems, and maybe installing HIDs hopefully soon.

haha Mazda will probably charge me extra if I pulled that...(lol2) Anyways, talked to the dealer, and the qoute for the Speed CAI plus labor would add up to $600! I'd rather wait till my warranty expires and get the Injen. Thanks anyway for all the info everyone. Now I need to find another...

I have read a couple, but they've only been for painting the emblems black.:( none on MGM paint. Wonder if anyone here is still making custom emblems? (I read Atreyu's thread but looks like he already stopped)

I'm planning to call up the mechanic at the dealer to see if their CAI is really worth it (really dont wanna screw up the warranty this early, or screw up the car removing/reinstalling the intake everytime i go to the dealer. plus i don't have an extra car if that does happen. call me a wuss if...

I plan to have the 2 flying M's and the "MAZDA3" logo painted to match my car color. My car is in Metropolitan Gray Mica. The dealer sells touch-up paint ($7.50) for it, but I dunno how that is gonna work. Has anybody done this to their emblems? If this doesn't work, anyone know where I could...

well i can live with +10 hp :) the 09 itouring to me definitely needs a performance boost. thanks to all of ya for the info.

Thats another thing..lately during my searches I ran into some reviews about the general effects of CAIs, both on and outside this forum, and the answers were quite mixed. I remember the dealer telling me there will be a 15% increase in hp (probably bs, i dunno), some other websites say +10-20...

OK thanks for the advice. My car being not even a year old though, I kinda dont wanna do anything to screw up the warranty. But if the dealer CAI really sucks, I could always wait a couple years before this mod.(pissed)
