From MSP to What's Next For Me

True! With the mods you have your MSP should be running great. I did have the Split Second AFC, 626 Mani & all that good stuff as well until my second turbo seal went out flooding the intercooler and HKS BOV. Soon after the head gasket went and warped the head. Had to throw in the towel!

Thats cool. Did he own a Type-S? The 06' was equipped with 210H.P & Stage 1 cams from factory which made it alot more fun to drive. No need for any procedues either on that alternator. I've been a mechanic my whole life working in the industry including an Acura Tech. And really? You would...

Don't worry Mr. Lizardman. Everything is under control. If you read what I mentioned in it's entirety I obviously was not hating on anyone, just defending my position on the matter. I don't claim to be better than anyone else for owning an Acura. All I was trying to convey was the fact that...

Oh how cute! Your sticking up for your lil buddy! Honda has no power? Really? Keep telling yourself that. Next time save yourself the embarrasment & do your research before making an innacurate judgement on RSX's. There capable of making much more TQ & HP in N/A or forced induction than any MSP...

You kidding bro! The little 2.0 has mad power with or without bolt ons. I don't have to worry about compressor surge, heat soak, fuel cut or any of that bulls*** you find in the MSP. I put 30K on the RSX and no issues whatsoever to date. So don't hate! Have fun fixing all your MSP problems...

Alternator is good. And if it did fail I would rather change that out than have to worry about blowing another stupid turbo.

    echaust gaskets?

Like my man said. The dealer is your best bet and costs almost the same as other Vendors.

    question about waterpump/timing belt

Those parts should slap right on the Protege 01 & up ES, LX, MP3 and Protege5 FS-DE 2.0L engines.

    turbo replacememt question

Also If the turbo is leaking oil I highly suggest removing both hot and cold intercooler pipes and inspecting everything including intercooler, BPV and throttle body for signs of internal oil saturation. This happened to me a while back and was not fun.

    turbo replacememt question

I've been out the Mazda game for quite some time now but please correct me if I'm wrong. When my factory turbo blew an oil seal on my old MSP turbo I contacted dozens of turbo shops in the So-cal area including Garrett whom at the time did not offer a rebuild cartridge kit for the GT2554R. From...

    Good bye MSP......

You got lucky bro. I wish I can say the same for myself. Only got $3,000. My MSP also had ****** up turbo bearings from the faulty rebuild and a blown head gasket so I cant really complain.

    tapping into brake booster line?

Thats how you learn bro, by asking questions and doing the right research. I would also recommend the VAC block for convenience & reliability like the other guys mentioned.

    FREE Forge BPV (FMSP02)

What up Carbonkid. I got out the Army in 2002 right before my unit was sent overseas. I am very proud to be a 4Th I.D. vet though. Wish I was still active. I spent most of my time in Fort Hood as a mechanic ensuring all our Cav & Infantry troops had combat ready vehicles and did alot of...
