Whenever I turn the lights on the lights during the day everything dims and I cant figure out if its possible to keep it on the normal daytime brightness. Because this model has no day time running lights there are times when I want to have the lights on during the day. The issue is the car...
Seems like I left a major part off of the topic of this thread, that I snapped the clip on the one of them and cant figure out how to replace it. With ambient lighting or puddle lights is there a replacement clip or do I need to run a whole new wire? Is this a part I can buy?
The one that is at the lower front part of each front door on the inside that lights your feet up and the ground a little when the door is open. Is there a name for those and do they sell replacements for the parts that the light plugs into?
I ended up snapping the clip that holds the light...
I was under there looking for something and noticed there is no panel that covers the thing that turns when you turn the steering wheel.
Is all of this supposed to be exposed or is something missing after all these years? If it is missing, how do I get a new one, and if its not missing, I...
Ha! Yup, I clicked the lock a whole bunch of times on and off just to make sure.
So a button replacement, if I replaced the entire motor and regulator the button sounds like it could be easy.
RockAuto has this guy for More Information for WVE 1S13244
Is is straightforward to replace? I...
Any idea how to take the button apart? I can't find anything on this one at all. Lots of videos on taking everything else apart but nothing on the button.
The button gets power, it is lit up, so something is at least partially working.
All right, for an update this morning I swapped both the motor and the regulator out. It really wasn't that bad of a job this time, I took my time, took everything apart correctly, and the new one was easy to bolt on. Tons of tape to hold the window in place, couldn't risk that. The good...
Not the motor, that would be easy, the regulator is the thing on the other side of the door panel that the window sits on and its what the motor moves up and down.
It's much more of a pain to replace. Going to be messy out there.
I was able to replace the front window fine, went to replace the back. Front was easy like you said, after popping all the door stuff out and unscrewing the old motor the new one went on like nothing.
Went to do the back one. Got everything apart, it was all going great, went to get the new...
Turns out it was air in the system and the brake fluid was low. I did the hold the pedal test mentioned and also the keep pushing it a few times to see if it gets tighter test. Both of them happened so took it to a local shop.
$123 later they bled the system the right way, filled the brake...
